HEIC to JPG, right in your browser.

Turn iPhone photos (.heic) into JPGs that open on any phone, computer or website. Free, as many files as you like, and nothing is uploaded.

Runs on your device. Your files never leave this browser.
Try it offline
  1. Open this page once and wait until it says it works offline.
  2. Turn off Wi-Fi and mobile data, or switch on airplane mode.
  3. Reload the page. It still opens and still works, because nothing needs the internet.

Developers: open DevTools → Network before choosing a file. Processing makes no requests. Afterwards the page sends one anonymous count (which tool, how many files) to our own statistics server, never a file or its name, and the page's Content Security Policy blocks every other site.

How to convert HEIC to JPG

    1. Choose your HEIC photos, or drop them onto the box above. You can pick many at once.
    2. Leave the quality at 90 unless you need smaller files. Lower numbers give smaller files with more visible compression.
    3. Download each JPG, or all of them as one zip file.

    What is a HEIC file?

HEIC is the photo format iPhones and iPads save by default. It often stores a photo in about half the space of a JPG at similar quality. The catch is support: many Windows PCs, Android apps, websites and upload forms can't open it. JPG works everywhere, which is why converting is often the easiest fix.

    Questions

    Are my photos uploaded anywhere?

No. The conversion runs inside your browser tab, on your own device. This page has no server behind it that could receive a photo. "Try it offline" at the top of this page shows how to confirm it.

Does the JPG keep my photo's location and date?

No. The JPG contains only the picture. Metadata such as GPS location, the date it was taken and the camera model is not copied. That's useful when you share photos. If you need that information, keep the original HEIC too.

Is there a limit on how many photos I can convert?

There's no set limit. Photos are converted one at a time, so large batches just take longer. On older phones, very large photos may be scaled down to fit what the browser can handle; the result shows when that happens.

Can I convert HEIC on my iPhone?

Yes. This page works in Safari on iPhone and iPad as well as on Android and desktop browsers.
